01 Two architectures, one experience

Your construction stage decides the right system.

A finished Gachibowli apartment and a Kokapet villa at slab stage need completely different automation strategies. Retrofitting wired systems into finished walls means chiselling, dust and repainting. Running a villa with sixty lighting circuits on battery sensors and wireless modules alone can mean compromises on dimming quality and central control.

We design with both. KNX is the open, wired international standard for building automation: a twisted-pair bus cable runs to every keypad and sensor, while DIN-rail actuators in the distribution board switch and dim each circuit. Zigbee is a low-power wireless mesh standard: smart switches and modules fit existing switch boxes and connect to a local hub, with no new cabling.

03 Wired KNX automation

KNX: one wired backbone, your choice of interface.

KNX is an open international standard (ISO/IEC 14543) used in homes and buildings worldwide. Because the logic lives on the bus rather than in a single app or cloud service, the system is fast, reliable and independent of any one manufacturer — devices from different brands work together, and any certified integrator can maintain it in future.

That openness is what lets you choose how the home looks and feels to use, room by room, without changing the engineering behind the walls.

Front-end UI options

Control the home the way you prefer

  • Wall touch panels — in-wall screens for living areas and the home theater, showing scenes, climate, curtains and cameras
  • Smartphone and tablet apps — full control at home and away, with per-family-member permissions
  • Designer keypads and push-buttons — tactile, labelled scene buttons for bedrooms and passages
  • Voice assistants — Alexa, Google Home and Siri through a KNX IP gateway
  • Schedules and sensors — presence, daylight and time-based automation that needs no interface at all

Multi-brand switchboard options

Switches that match your interiors

  • Many manufacturers, one system — KNX keypads from different brands share the same bus, so the switch range is a design decision, not a technical one
  • Finishes — glass, brushed metal, wood-look and minimalist matte plates in multiple colours
  • Formats — single to multi-button keypads, rotary dimmers, room controllers with displays and thermostats
  • Engraving and backlighting — labelled scenes and night-time orientation lights
  • Mix by room — a statement range in living areas and a simpler range in service areas, all on one system

04 Zigbee wireless automation

Zigbee: automation for finished homes, with no chiselling.

Zigbee 3.0 is a widely used low-power wireless standard built for smart homes. Smart switches and in-wall modules replace or sit behind your existing switch plates, and every mains-powered device also relays signals for its neighbours, forming a self-healing mesh that strengthens as the system grows. Battery sensors for doors, motion and leaks add automation without any wiring.

A local hub runs schedules and scenes inside the home, so everyday control does not depend on the internet. Through the hub, the system works with Alexa, Google Home and Apple devices. Because Zigbee is a standard rather than a single brand, devices from many manufacturers can be combined to suit the budget and the look of each room.

05 Scene lighting

One tap changes the whole room.

Scenes coordinate lights, curtains, AC and AV together, on KNX or Zigbee. Try three of the most-used scenes in our Hyderabad homes.

Tap a scene

Cinema Mode

  1. 01Cove lighting fades to 10% over 4 seconds
  2. 02Blackout curtains close
  3. 03Projector and AV receiver power on
  4. 04AC steps to 24 °C, quiet fan speed

Evening Lounge

  1. 01Warm 2700K cove and lamps at 40%
  2. 02Sheers drawn, blackouts open
  3. 03Multi-room audio at background level
  4. 04Porch and landscape lights on

Morning Curtain Open

  1. 01Curtains open at the scheduled wake time
  2. 02Artificial lighting off — daylight takes over
  3. 03Geyser triggered 20 minutes earlier
  4. 04Bathroom and kitchen lights at 70%

One tap on a keypad, the app, or "Alexa, cinema mode".

06 Smart lighting

Smart lighting and DALI dimming.

Good automation starts with lighting design: layered cove, downlight, wall-wash and accent circuits that can be dimmed independently. On KNX, DALI and DALI-2 gateways address every driver individually, including tunable-white fixtures that shift from cool daylight to a warm 2700K evening glow. On Zigbee, smart dimmers add scene control and dimming to existing circuits.

We check driver and lamp compatibility before installation, because flicker and hum usually come from mismatched dimmers and drivers — not from the automation system itself.

07 Rooms & devices

07.1

Motorized curtains & blinds

Quiet tubular and track motors for sheers, blackouts, Roman and roller blinds. Curtains close automatically for afternoon glare on west-facing Hyderabad façades, and open with your morning alarm. We plan pelmet depth and power points with your interior designer.

Track · Tubular · Schedules

07.2

AC & appliance control

Split and ductable ACs controlled through IR or integration modules, plus geysers, fans and pumps on scheduled or scene-based control. Cool the bedroom before you leave the office; switch off everything with one "Away" tap.

HVAC · Geyser · Schedules

07.3

Smart entertainment

Your home theater and multi-room audio join the same scenes: "Cinema Mode" dims the lights, closes the blackouts, lowers the screen and powers on the projector and AV receiver in sequence.

Cinema · Audio · Projectors

07.4

Voice control

Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple Siri control individual devices and complete scenes. Elderly parents can say "good night" instead of learning an app; children get only the rooms you allow.

07.5

Smart sensors

Motion and occupancy sensors light passages at night at 20%, switch off forgotten bathroom lights, and trigger alerts for water leaks or open doors. Combined with Ajax security, they become part of your home's protection.

What separates a reliable system from a frustrating one.

High-rise apartment living room with sheer curtains and concealed ceiling lighting in the Financial District
Apartment retrofit · Financial DistrictZIGBEE
B1 KNX bus topology and DB planning Lines · areas · power supplies

KNX lines are planned with bus power supplies, line couplers for larger villas, and enough DB space for actuators, DALI gateways and spare capacity. Bus cable runs in its own conduit and is documented so any certified integrator can maintain it later.

B2 Zigbee mesh planning Hub placement · repeaters · channels

We place the hub centrally, make sure mains-powered devices are spread so the mesh reaches every room and floor, and pick a radio channel that avoids congestion from your Wi-Fi. Signal quality is checked device by device before handover.

B3 Neutral wires and switch-box depth Checked during survey

Many older Hyderabad apartments lack a neutral wire in switch boxes, and shallow boxes limit module choice. We check both on the first visit so the specified Zigbee switches fit and work without surprises.

B4 Network dependency Local control first

Automation should work when the internet doesn't. We design for local control at keypads and hubs, then add cloud and voice on a properly engineered EDN network with a dedicated IoT VLAN.

B5 Handover and family training Scenes · schedules · permissions

We configure scenes around your routine, label keypads clearly, set app permissions for each family member and staff, and return after two weeks to fine-tune timings once you have lived with the system.

FAQ · Straight answers

Questions Hyderabad homeowners ask us

01 Can I automate my apartment without breaking walls?

Yes. Zigbee smart switches and in-wall modules fit your existing switch boxes and talk to a local hub wirelessly, so a finished 3BHK or 4BHK apartment can be automated without chiselling, rewiring or repainting. Most retrofits are completed within a few days.

02 Should I choose KNX or Zigbee for a new villa?

If the villa is still before plastering and you want a wired, centrally managed system for many circuits, DALI dimming, curtains and HVAC, KNX is the stronger choice. If walls are finished, or you want lower cost and faster installation, Zigbee wireless is the better fit. Many villas combine both.

03 Which switch brands can I use with KNX?

KNX is an open standard supported by hundreds of manufacturers, so keypads and switch plates from different brands work on the same bus. We help you choose a range that matches your interiors — glass, metal, wood-finish or minimalist push-buttons — without changing the system behind it.

04 How do I control a KNX home — app, touch panel or switches?

All three. KNX can be operated from designer wall switches, in-wall touch panels, smartphone and tablet apps, and voice assistants through an IP gateway. You can mix interfaces room by room, for example touch panels in living areas and simple keypads in bedrooms.

05 How much does home automation cost in Hyderabad?

As an indicative guide, a Zigbee wireless retrofit for a 3BHK or 4BHK apartment is roughly ₹1.5–3.5 lakhs. A G+2 or G+3 villa with lighting, curtains, HVAC and scenes on KNX or a hybrid system is roughly ₹4.5–12 lakhs or more.

06 Does it work with Alexa, Google Home and Siri, and without the internet?

Yes. Scenes and devices can be voice-controlled through Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple Siri. Wall switches and keypads keep working locally during an internet outage: KNX logic runs on the bus itself, and Zigbee devices are controlled by the local hub.
